not your mother's brazilian wax.

brazilians, and mankini's, and gendered language, OH MY!

Like we said before, Beehive is for the girls, gays, and theys; and the girls, gays, and theys know that gendered language is so 1999. That’s why we’re retiring the industry standards and committing to providing services that are 100% gender free.

‘How does that work’, you might be wondering?

Simply put, we’re giving you the exact same high quality Brazilian Wax you’re used to, only you don’t have to out yourself to get it.

On this page, we cover genderless language and how to book your genital wax, prepping for your first service, bundling your genital wax for an easier booking experience, saving money with waxing packages, and frequently asked questions about genital waxes and how to prep for your first visit to Beehive. Check it out!

Feeling a little nervous for your first wax? We hear ya! It’s an uncomfortable experience, not to mention intimate. Check out this review from another first time client:

"Brazilian"

Genital Wax (Butt Strip)

If you're looking for a classic Brazilian, book this service. Just like a Brazilian Wax, this service includes as much or as little hair as you want off the front, and a strip between the cheeks.

"Bikini"

Genital Wax (NO Butt Strip)

If you're looking for a standard Bikini wax, book this service! Just like a Bikini wax, this service includes as much or as little hair as you want off the front. This service does NOT include a strip between the cheeks.

"Manzilian"

Gential Wax (Butt Strip)

If you're looking for a Manzilian Wax, book this service. Just like a Manzilian, this service includes as much or as little hair as you want off the front, and a strip between the cheeks. Looking for a little more coverage? Add on a Full Butt if you want your cheeks included in your service.

cleanse

Step 1 in prepping your skin for a great wax is a great cleanser. Think something fragrance free, and great for sensitive skin.

Nudy Rudy Hunny Bunny is a great option for most skin types.

exfoliate

Step 2 in skin that is prepped and ready for a wax is exfoliation. Look for a physical exfoliator like a mitt or a net that can be used in tandem with your cleanser.

Our current favorite physical exfoliator is Lady Peng’s 50 Grit Aggressive

moisturize

The 3rd and final step in ensuring your skin is prepared for your first wax is to moisturize.

Moisturize daily, every day, all day, all the time. Just Please Moisturize.

We love the Foster Goodness Hive Vibe Oil for almost all of our clients.

Typically book a Brazilian and Brow at the same time? Or maybe you’re a bush enthusiast looking for a clean up. Whatever your waxing needs are, let us make your booking process a little easier with our service bundles. Check out our bundled services, and book here.

how should I prep for my wax + -

ONE MONTH OUT

  • stop shaving
  • exfoliate 3-4x weekly to remove dead skin and prep the hair for waxing
  • moisturize daily with a fragrance-free moisturizer
  • drink lots of water

ONE WEEK OUT

  • don't shave — yes, we will know
  • stop exfoliating 2 days before your wax to avoid sensitivity
  • moisturize daily
  • drink lots of water

DAY OF YOUR WAX

  • drink lots of water to come into your appointment well hydrated
  • avoid caffeine
  • do not shave — I'm being so serious
  • skip exfoliating today
  • optional: take some ibuprofen an hour before your service to take the edge off

WHAT TO AVOID:

  • avoid coming in hungover. I promise getting waxed while hungover will be the least fun thing you do all week. do yourself a favor and skip waxing after a night out of drinking
  • if you can, avoid caffeine before your waxing appointment. caffeine can make the skin more sensitive so it's best to wait till after your wax for your morning pick-me-up.

can I get waxed on my cycle? + -

Oh for sure! But you can't free bleed on our tables, so as long as you're comfortable to pop in a clean tampon (always available in our restroom) or menstrual cup before your service, then you'll be good to go! Don't be embarrassed — it's literally so normal and common for folks to come in while bleeding — it's just part of life.

However, be warned — waxing on your cycle is not for the weak. You're likely to be much more sensitive during this time so, we recommend taking some ibuprofen an hour before your service to help take the edge off.

how long does my hair need to be? + -

Your hair needs to be at least 1/4 inch long (or as long as a grain of rice). If you're a habitual shaver, please give us at least 2 weeks of growth before your wax. But for the best results, we recommend you stop shaving 1 month before your wax.

can I get waxed while I'm pregnant? + -

Absolutely! you might get to a point in your pregnancy when you just can't maneuver well enough to keep your personal grooming up. Let us help!

Some pregnant folks experience heightened pain sensitivity during their wax due to hormonal changes — this is so normal! we will help make you as comfortable as possible during your service, but please consult your physician with questions before your first wax!
