The first step in prepping your skin for a great wax is finding a great cleanser.
Not sure where to look? Check out Green Clean by Tuel for a great cleanse with a touch of glycolic.
exfoliate
Exfoliated skin is key for a smooth result, and is step two in prepping for your first wax — and your loofa isn’t cutting it babe.
Switch to something like Luvscrub’s African Net and use it 3-4 times a week for best results.
BUT make sure you stop exfoliating 48 hours before your wax to keep your skin happy.
moisturize
Lastly, you gotta keep your skin hydrated if you want smooth results.
Leading up to your wax, and after your wax, we recommend moisturizing daily with a genital safe moisturizer like Lady Peng’s Phantom Oil.

how long does my hair need to be for a wax?
Your hair needs to be at least 1/4 inch long (or as long as a grain of rice). If you're a habitual shaver, please give us at least 2 weeks of growth before your wax. but for the best results, we recommend you stop shaving 1 month before your wax.
what if I'm going through a gender transition?
We happily wax every body and all genders, regardless of where you're at in your transition. That being said, there are several contraindications associated with the removal of terminal hair (like facial hair), which is why full face waxes are only available on a case-by-case basis.
A first time full face wax will be converted to a consultation to allow our waxers time to discuss your hair removal goals and assess if it's safe to move forward with the service. If for any reason we cannot provide the service, the consultation will be free of charge.
NOTE: There is no additional fee aside from the cost of the full face wax if we are able to provide the service.
can I get waxed if I have PMOS (formally PCOS?)
We happily wax every body, including many folks with PMOS.
